Our Specialties

Fiberglass Batt Insulation in the Twin Cities

When you are finishing a basement, building a garage addition, or taking a room down to the studs, you have one chance to get the insulation right before the drywall goes up. In Minnesota, cutting corners on open wall cavities guarantees you’ll be dealing with freezing drafts, frozen pipes, and skyrocketing heating bills the second January hits.

Traditional fiberglass insulation is an affordable way to protect your home, but only if they are installed perfectly. We custom-cut and fit fiberglass tightly between every single wall stud and floor joist. We make sure there are no gaps, no bunching, and no compressed spots, just a solid, clean blanket of protection to keep your expensive heat inside where it belongs.

Upgrading your open walls and floors is a budget-friendly investment that often qualifies for local energy rebates. As an official Trades Partner, Travis oversees the installation to make sure your framing is packed tight, and our team handles the utility rebate paperwork for you so you can easily keep more of your hard-earned money.

Our Fiberglass Insulation Services

Fiberglass insulation is a proven, affordable choice for Minnesota properties, delivering excellent energy efficiency when installed the right way. At Spray Foam Insulation Plus, our company handles all sorts of aspects of insulation. We take a lot of pride and joy in installing fiberglass batts correctly so you get a great result you can actually count on.

Why Choose Fiberglass Insulation?

  • Fiberglass is a more affordable product that still delivers strong thermal performance, making it a budget-friendly way to bring down painful winter energy bills
  • When fitted perfectly into your wall cavities, fiberglass stops the conduction of cold air that makes your house feel drafty or uncomfortable.
  • It is the ideal application for new construction, room additions, and exposed exterior walls before the sheetrock goes up
  • Aside from stopping heat loss, proper insulation significantly reduces outside noise, making it really quiet in the home
  • Nine times out of ten, the job is going to get done the same day, and I always make sure your space is cleaner than when we arrived

Why Twin Cities Homeowners Choose Spray Foam Insulation Plus for Fiberglass Insulation?

A lot of insulation companies out there today are just big conglomerates, the person who sells you the job is never the person who actually touches your house. We do things differently.

When you hire Spray Foam Insulation Plus for your fiberglass insulation, you are getting an owner-operated experience. I am the one who comes out to do the estimate, and I manage the job from start to finish. There is no miscommunication between a sales team and an installation crew. My focus is simple: install the fiberglass correctly, eliminate the drafts making you uncomfortable, and make sure we leave the workspace cleaner than when we arrived.

What really sets us apart for Minneapolis and St. Paul homeowners is how we handle your energy savings. We are BPI-certified professionals and approved trades partners with both CenterPoint and Xcel Energy. But we don’t just point you toward a website to figure it out yourself, we perform the required blower door tests and handle all of the rebate paperwork for you. We make sure your home is sealed tight against Minnesota’s brutal winters while helping you get the maximum amount of money back on your investment.

Fiberglass Insulation FAQ

Fiberglass batt insulation provides R-3.0 to R-3.8 per inch depending on density. Standard wall batts (3.5 inches) are R-13 or R-15, and attic batts (up to 12 inches) reach R-38.

Yes. Fiberglass remains the most widely used insulation in the U.S. for good reason, it’s affordable, non-combustible, doesn’t absorb moisture, and provides consistent thermal performance. Professional installation eliminates the gaps that reduce DIY fiberglass effectiveness.

Fiberglass holds up for decades when properly installed and kept dry. Unlike cellulose, it does not settle much over time. However, it should be replaced if it gets wet, compressed, or disturbed.

Modern fiberglass insulation uses formaldehyde-free binders and is safe when properly installed behind drywall or in enclosed cavities. During installation, our crews wear protective equipment and follow OSHA guidelines. Once installed, fiberglass poses no health risk to occupants.

Faced fiberglass has a kraft paper or foil backing that acts as a vapor retarder. In Minnesota, faced insulation is installed with the facing toward the warm (interior) side. Unfaced batts are used when adding insulation over existing material or where a separate vapor barrier is installed.

Prices follow material costs, so a number published today could be wrong next month. Call and you will talk directly to Travis, the owner. He can usually share current ballpark and per-square-foot ranges over the phone, then give you a firm quote after seeing your project.
